Email Accounts vs Forwards
| In cpanel you can add Email Accounts and email Forwards. Which one you choose depends on how you want to use the email address. FORWARDS: If you just want all email addressed to something@yourodmain.com to forward to an outside address like youremail@gmail.com you'd set up a FORWARD (not a 'real' Email Account). EMAIL ACCOUNTS: But if you want to be able to not only receive but also SEND mail from something@yourodmain.com you'd set it up as an EMAIL ACCOUNT and you could use it in an email program like Outlook (Tools/Accounts). |
